Yara Shahidi & Chloe X Halle Share Their Thoughts on the World in 2018 (Video)

Yara Shahidi sat down with Chloe X Halle to discuss their new music and the power of this generation’s youth.

The Grown-ish co-stars – who “felt like sisters automatically” when they first met – shared their inspirational message in a new video for ASOS.

“The theme of this whole album is just youth empowerment and reminding us how we are important, the kids are alright,” the R&B duo says. “We’re the future.”

“This year has been eye-opening,” they continue. “Basking in the goodness of the world and then boom, you’re hit with something that’s just like, ‘Wow, we just took 10 steps back as people, as a community, as what we’re supposed to be, as a united family.’”

Yara then asked the sisters to describe 2018 in one word, and they had a beautiful response.
