Singer Matt Sallee Dishes On Joining Pentatonix For The Holiday Season

Matt Sallee is the new guy in the much loved a cappella group, Pentatonix, and after only a short time with them, is already feeling at home.

In a new interview, the singer opened up about his audition for the bass role in the group and how it all happened.

The opportunity to try out for Pentatonix came up earlier this year and after auditioning, he got a call back in June. However, after that, he didn’t hear anything until September.

“I landed in Los Angeles on September 15 and recorded two songs the next morning,” he said. “I hit the ground running.”

Matt adds that the group is “the most welcoming people I’ve ever encountered. They were excited for me; they were excited for the group.”

“I’ve dreamed of singing with them for so long,” he says. “For an a cappella nerd like me, they’re the pinnacle of a cappella…I’m very inspired by them, they all are doing different things outside of the group.”

Next up, Matt will be joining Pentatonix on their holiday tour which goes throughout December in select cities. Check out all the dates on JJJ now!
