Camila Cabello Reveals Why You Won't Find a Ton of Collaborations On Her Debut Album

Being honest, Camila Cabello‘s collaboration with Shawn Mendes is STILL one of our favorite ever team ups.

The “Havana” singer admitted to SiriusXM that despite her success with collabs, we won’t find a lot on her debut album, Camila, which is out in January.

“There isn’t really a lot of collaborations on my album just because I was finding my sound and my [voice] and so I really wanted to do just do that,” Camila shared.

She adds, “I’ve collaborated for like five years, so it was good to kind of, just do that,” she added.

Camila also shared that doing a lot of collabs in the past weren’t always the best thing for her.

“I remember feeling super nervous and scared at one point,” she said. “And then there was definitely a time where I was just like it doesn’t even matter that much, it’s just music. It’s not that deep!”

“I think the more that I distanced myself from what people’s opinions were, the more I was like what does it matter what people’s opinions are? This is what I love to do.”
