Ed Sheeran Scores Top Spot on UK's Official Christmas No. 1 Chart

The singer’s track “Perfect” has landed the highly sought-after No. 1 rank on the UK’s 2017 Official Christmas Number 1 list.

“Perfect” has acquired 85,000 combined sales just this week, divided between 45,000 downloads and 6 million streams, the Official Charts Company reports.

“Thank you very much for making ‘Perfect’ Christmas Number 1,” Ed said in a video message shared by the company. “This is an actual dream come true and I’m very, very proud and happy. Thank you so much for streaming it and buying it, and have a very Merry Christmas, Happy Holidays, and a Happy New Year.”

Eminem‘s “River” (also featuring Ed) came in at at number two, while Wham‘s “Last Christmas” landed the number three spot.
