Charlie Puth Didn't Realize Shawn Mendes Actually Wrote His Songs!

Shawn Mendes is a man of many talents and songwriting is just one of them, except his friend and tourmate Charlie Puth did not know this about him at first!

Charlie and Shawn toured together this year and the “Attention” singer says he was surprised to find out that Shawn writes his own songs.

“He’ll hate me for saying this, but I just assumed he had other people writing most of his material,” Charlie told Billboard. “But when he sat down and just started singing melodies, kind of like I did, I was like, ‘Wow! That’s really impressive.’ Don’t judge a book by its cover.”

Well, at least he’s being honest!
