Dylan O'Brien Opens Up About Returning to 'Maze Runner' After His Accident

We’ve got just a couple more weeks until Dylan O’Brien is back on the big screen in Maze Runner: The Death Cure.

Speaking with Cineplex magazine, the 26-year-old actor opened up about getting back to set after his accident that put everything on hold.

“It meant a lot to finish,” Dylan reveals. “It’s something that was always a big thing for me and has meant a lot to me. Also, coming off of that accident, it was a big deal to finish in a very personal way for me.”

He adds that despite taking a break from the set and movie, that “we made something great, the franchise means a lot to all of us, so we wanted to finish it on the best note we could.”

Dylan also shared that they wanted to make the final movie in the franchise the best of them all.

“We wanted to go out and try to make this the best movie of the three, and I think we did make a really good movie,” he says. “I’m excited about how it came out. Wes [Ball, director] is one of the most talented directors out there right now and I’m always glad to see what he does with it after we put it in his hands.”

He adds, “It’s exciting and good, an emotional and intense last chapter.”

Maze Runner: The Death Cure is out in theaters on Friday, January 26th.
