Snowboarder Chloe Kim Totally Cried After Winning the Halfpipe Gold Medal at Olympics 2018

Chloe Kim made snowboarding history last night at the 2018 Pyeongchang Winter Olympics.

In between tweeting about ice cream and her half-eaten breakfast sandwich, the 17-year-old athlete performed her runs, securing a gold medal by the first run alone.

She was ahead by almost eight points — so really, no contest.

“I hate crying but I’ll give myself a pass for this one,” Chloe wrote on Twitter after the competition. “Thank you everyone for the love! Stoked to bring home the gold.”

The next morning, Chloe joked with Today about getting teary-eyed on the podium, but didn’t shed any tears: “I worked so hard on my eyeliner.”
