Lauren Jauregui, Zendaya & More Praise Emma Gonzalez For Her Gun Control Speech
If you didn’t watch or hear about Emma Gonzalez‘s compelling speech about gun control over the weekend, then it’s required viewing starting right now.
Emma, a Parkland shooting survivor, spoke at an anti-gun rally, promising that Parkland will be the last school shooting in America.
“We are going to be the last mass shooting,” she said. “…That’s going to be Marjory Stoneman Douglas in that textbook, and it’s all going to be due to the tireless efforts of the school board, the faculty members, the family members and most importantly the students.”
Emma also spoke out about President Trump‘s response to the shooting and against the NRA.
“If the president wants to come up to me and tell me to my face that it was a terrible tragedy, and how it should never have happened, and maintain telling us how nothing is going to be done about it, I’m going to happily ask him how much money he received from the National Rifle Association. But hey, you want to know something? It doesn’t matter, because I already know: $30 million. … To every politician who is taking donations from the NRA, shame on you!”
Lauren Jauregui, Zendaya, Emeraude Toubia, Aimee Carrero, Sophia Bush and Ashley Tisdale have all sent their support on social media to Emma and praised her speech.

I only deleted my last tweet cause I haven't fact checked her age, but reguardless, she's a HIGH SCHOOL STUDENT with more passion and strength then the people who run the country, so again, I wish I had half as much of that in high school, and now! #EmmaGonzalez

I don’t know what @sarahchad_ or @emma4change or any of these incredible young activists have planned for their futures, but I would be first in line to cast a ballot for them should they choose to run for office. #NeverAgain #GunControlNow #RIPStatusQuo

#EmmaGonzalez is everything and more. I’m so excited to be alive at this time when the young ones are leading things. It’s so inspiring to hear an impassioned being defy all and bare her intelligence so honestly. That speech gave me so much hope.
