Yara Shahidi To Topline 'The Sun Is Also A Star' Big Screen Adaption

Yara Shahidi is moving to the big screen for her next project.

THR reports that the 18-year-old grown-ish actress will star in the adaption of Nicola Yoon‘s book, The Sun Is Also A Star.

The novel centers on Natasha, a practical girl in New York City whose pragmatism is challenged when she falls in love right before her family is set to be deported back to Jamaica.

This will be the second Nicola Yoon book to head to the screen; the first being Everything, Everything with Amandla Stenberg and Nick Robinson.
