Adam Rippon Reveals If He'll Be Competing in 2022 Beijing Winter Olympics

2022 is a long way away from 2018…at least it seems like it, and Adam Rippon knows it.

He also knows that he most likely will not be competing in the 2022 Beijing Winter Olympics.

Adam explained to E! News that “on the immediate horizon, I’m taking advantage of all these open doors and just seeing what I want to do after skating.”

“If I got to Beijing 2022, it’s because I found a great deal on a vacation. Is that fair? I’m not going to be competing.”

Adam seems content that the 2018 Winter Games were his first, and last.

“This was my last Olympics, and again that’s why I wanted the full experience…I’m not a spring chicken!”

So, does this actually mean retirement for Adam?

“Well, I don’t know if this is an official retirement, but if I do skate it would be for another season or two,” he says. “I would not be going to the next Olympics.”

Adam earned a bronze medal at the 2018 games in the team figure skating event.
