Andi Mack's Peyton Elizabeth Lee Will Now Respond To 'Andi' If You Call Her That

Peyton Elizabeth Lee aka Andi Mack, is starting to get used to answering if you call her that.

In a recent interview, the Disney Channel star revealed that she’s starting to answer to the name off the set.

“I live in a pretty small town (Manhattan Beach, Calif.), and most of the people in the shops there know me,” she explains. “But, I also get a lot of ‘Andi! Andi! We love your show!’ It’s really crazy to hear.”

Peyton adds, “For a while I didn’t even turn around when they yelled ‘Andi! Andi!’ because it didn’t faze me because that’s not my name.”

Now though, she’ll turn around.

Peyton also opened up about how Andi Mack connects with viewers.

“The coolest thing for me is that people like it for so many reasons. They connect with so many different characters and so many different themes,” she shared.

“We hear, ‘These characters remind me of myself’ and ‘They remind me of my friends,’ which is very exciting because in a lot of shows, kids look up to the characters.”

Andi Mack will return in June with all-new episodes.
