Here's What We Know Right Now About 'Stranger Things' Season 3

Over the weekend, the cast of Stranger Things gathered together at the 2018 PaleyFest in Los Angeles – where they spilled just a few, but oh-so-good, details about the upcoming season three.

We know that the cast – including Millie Bobby Brown, Sadie Sink, Natalia Dyer, Charlie Heaton and Caleb McLaughlin – will be going back to work on the show next month.

Season three will take place one year after the second season, during the summer of 1985, and big surprise – Eleven (Brown) and Mike (Finn Wolfhard), and Lucas (McLaughlin) and Max (Sink), respectively, would all be couples at the beginning of the season.

“Mike and Eleven and are going strong, so that’s a relationship that continues, and same with Mad Max and Lucas,” EP Shawn Levyshared. “But again, they’re like 13- or 14-year-old kids, so what does romance mean at that stage of life?”

He adds, “It can never be simple and stable relationships and there’s fun to that instability.”

We also learned that Steve Harrington (Joe Keery) will have more of a role in the next season.

“We’ll definitely get to see some more of Steve Harrington in season three, and I’ll just say we won’t be abandoning the Dad Steve magic. I don’t want to say much more, but I literally feel that we were walking along and we stumbled onto a gold mine with Dad Steve.”

Seasons one and two of Stranger Things are streaming on Netflix now.
