The Flash's Carlos Valdes Definitely Knows Who 'Mystery Girl' Is

Mystery Girl on The Flash has been one of the most talked about things on the series this season – and star Carlos Valdes has figured out just who she is.

Portrayed by Jessica Parker Kennedy, “mystery girl” first popped up at Barry and Iris’ wedding as a waiter, before then conveniently meeting the rest of Team Flash around Central City.

“The mystery girl in our story is kind of a funny one,” Carlos told EW. “Her role is especially to lay down these little clues, these little breadcrumbs for the viewers that ultimately start paying off in terms of establishing a trajectory to season five.”

There are theories about her being Dawn Allen, WestAllen’s future daughter, or even Jenni Ognats, their granddaughter. But is she?

Carlos isn’t naming names quite yet, but he thinks he does know who she is.

“I try to be willfully ignorant about all the rumors and the reveals and all that stuff, but actors talk, actors love to talk, actors love to talk out loud,” he explains. “I can’t help it that some of these reveals and resolutions have made their way into my brain, and now I know.”

He adds, “It took me a while to figure it out, but enough of my co-workers talked and now I know the secret of who she is and what her role is in this story. And it’s lovely. It really is. It’s cute. I’m excited about it.”
