Madelaine Petsch Talks About How She Overcame Body Dysmorphia in 'Seventeen' Magazine

Madelaine Petsch shines on the May/June 2018 cover of Seventeen.

Sharing the cover with her Riverdale cast mates Camila Mendes, KJ Apa, Cole Sprouse and Lili Reinhart, Madelaine got the chance to open up about how her own high school life was like.

“…I had body dysmorphia too. I looked in the mirror and thought that I was gross,” Madelaine reveals.

However, her mindset now has changed and she’s learned to be happy with how she looks every day.

“I’ve learned not to let anyone affect my thoughts of myself,” Madelaine adds. “I learned to love my red hair – it’s my favorite thing! Now, the biggest piece of advice I’d give myself is to embrace that I’m unique because that’s what’s making me successful.”
