Learn 10 Fun Facts About Rising K-Pop Boy Band, The East Light!

TheEastLight. is about to be one of your newest K-Pop obsessions.

If you haven’t already discovered the group, which consists of six members – Seokchul, Junwook, Eunsung, Sagang, Woojin and Seunghyun – they’re definitely becoming Ones To Watch.

Following their debut with “Holla” in 2016 and their Six Senses EP in 2017, the group just released their fourth digital single, “Are You Okay?” (or, in Korean, “넌 괜찮니”.) It’s an emotional, hip-hop tinged track that finds the boys working through a tough break-up.

1. The average age of TheEastLight. members is 14.5 years old, and they’re known to be the youngest band to debut in K-Pop.

2. Seokchul (drummer) drinks arrowroot juice like Coke, twice a day on a daily basis.

3. TheEastLight.‘s first concert tickets sold out in one minute.

4. Seokchul and Seunghyun (bassist) are actual brothers in the band.

5. Seokchul is known to be a power drummer, and has broken 50 drum sticks within a 16 month period.

6. Junwook (guitarist) received the “Individual Award” at Asian Beat 2014 hosted by Yamaha.

7. Eunsung (vocalist, keyboard) learns his basic common sense through watching YouTube.

8. Seunghyun loves the Madrid soccer team so much that he wears their shirt almost daily.

9. All the members went to the same junior high school.

10. Sagang (vocalist, guitarist) means “semi-final,” because he was born in the year 2002 when the South Korea team got to semi-final at the FIFA World Cup.
