'Riverdale' Showrunner Talks What's Coming in Season 3

Riverdale wrapped up their season two with an explosive and shocking finale – we mean, Archie got arrested!!!

Although it’s only been a few hours since the finale, we need to know what’s happening in season three right this moment.

Showrunner Roberto Aguirre-Sacasa opened up about all the possibilities the upcoming season could hold — and it’s dark.

“In season three we’ll see a Riverdale that has fallen to the dark side – you can call Riverdale Sin City in a sense,” he shared with ET. “On some level, this next season will be able how our characters try to maintain their decency and optimism while living in the once all American town, which has now descended into chaos and become a full fledged crime town.”

Well, that’s heavy.

But, on a lighter note, there may be a new relationship to obsess over – Kevin and Moose!

“My hope is that it continues,” Roberto said of the relationship. “It’d be nice to see Kevin in a romance again.”

However, they’ve still got a “big cloud looming over them, which is the death of Midge. Which is kind of par for the course on Riverdale. But I’m rooting for them. I hope it’s more than just a moment of passion.”
