Vanessa Morgan Thinks It's a Good Thing 'Riverdale' Cut That Choni Scene From The Finale - Here's Why
Vanessa Morgan broke our heart, and then lifted it right back up!
The Riverdale actress admitted in a new interview that she thinks it was a good idea that her scene with Madelaine Petsch was cut from the season two finale. Before you have a heart attack like us, read on:
“That gives us season three to further explore relationship instead of getting super serious too soon and moving in together,” she shared with ET. “You know, [something like] that could maybe lead to bad things for such a new couple.”
Vanessa adds, “I really think we’re saving all the Choni for season three, I really do — that’s what I’ve been told anyways. So I’m really looking forward to seeing season three.”
Okay, we see her point.
And showrunner Roberto Aguirre-Sacasa did explain why the scene was cut, too – not enough time!
“I will tell you though, and I will let all of the Choni fans know, that I’m the biggest Choni fan,” he says. “If scenes didn’t make it into the final cut, they will be on the DVD and we will try to release them and I can promise you that there are big stories ahead for Choni.”
