Normani Talks Fifth Harmony Break: 'I Don't Think It Should Be Sad'

Normani hit the carpet solo at the 2018 Billboard Awards, and the singer is opening up about being without her Fifth Harmony band mates.

“We’ve been together the last six years and that’s all we’ve ever known,” the 21-year-old told Billboard. “So to now be thrown as a solo artist, and now all eyes are on you, it’s definitely something that you have to get used to.”

“But I think that everything that we’ve done, especially considering I didn’t even know those girls existed six years ago, so everything that we accomplished, I don’t think it should be anything sad. It’s not a disappointment,” Normani continued. “That’s always the place we could call home.”

As for what we could expect from her new solo music, she didn’t give much away but left us with a bit of a tease.

“A lot of dope collaborations, I will say. I’m not going to give anything away,” she said, adding, “I could say I may be the only vocal.”
