Sarah Jeffery Has a Message for 'Charmed' Reboot Critics: 'Let's Be Kind With Our Opinions'

Sarah Jeffery is speaking out to defend her new CW reboot series Charmed.

The Descendants actress took to Twitter on Saturday (May 26) to share a message that everyone needs to hear.

“I’M ONLY GOING TO GO HERE ONCE,” she began. “I fully understand how dear the OG Charmed is to many. For very, very good reason. We are so beyond grateful to have the opportunity to bring this reboot to life and bring current, timely themes to the forefront of a show that stars not one, not two, but THREE WOC!!! We regard the foundation that was laid with great respect.”

“But, when my character is challenged, when there is futile yet harmful noise about how we are either incapable or doomed, I will vociferously defend myself and my sisters,” she continued. “The original Charmed will always stay very much intact and will always be widely respected. I invite you to come on this journey with us to discover more stories within the universe. I also respect your declination. But please, let’s show up for one another in favorable ways and be kind with our opinions.”

“I know our show will have a positive effect on so many women, youth, and anyone who is receptive to being on the right side of history,” she finished.

sick and tired of the CW mediocre spinoffs of hit Shows and reboots in general everywhere. No wonder Amazon and Netflix are getting so big with such big Budgets and world wide release of there series., that major movie stars are starting to take acting roles in them

“right side of history” is a phrase that denotes politics. Liberals use it to no end. I’m tired of having Hollywood try so hard to influence politics through their entertainment audience. If all that can be put aside, rebooting a show without consulting ANY of the previous people who put such hard work in the original would make a generational gap so wide, it may not be bridged at all. It may be that this reboot would only relate to Generation Z viewers leaving your original fan base out to dry. Might as well make a different show name altogether and give respect to the Original Charmed Ones, and not sour their fan base.
