Scott Hoying, Kirstin Maldonado & More Celebrate 7 Years of Pentatonix
Can you believe that it’s been seven years of Pentatonix? Neither can Pentatonix!
The group – which originally consisted of Scott Hoying, Mitch Grassi, Kirstin Maldonado, Kevin Olusola and Avi Kaplan – made their debut on NBC’s The Sing Off and ultimately won the show.
After that, well, you know what happened after that – they turned into an award-winning musical group that brought a capella back into the game.
Avi eventually left the group in 2017, and Matt Sallee was welcomed earlier this year.
“thank you all if you’ve been around for 7 years, 7 months, or 7 days. you’ve helped make our dreams come true every step of the way,” Kirstin wrote on Twitter, commemorating the day.
Matt added, “Soooo honored to become a member of this group that shaped a big part of my life throughout the past 7 years! Thank you for welcoming me in with wide open arms and making a high school/Acappella/choir kids dreams come true.”
