Tana Mongeau's TanaCon Convention Canceled After Thousands of Fans Show Up

Tana Mongeau‘s TanaCon video convention has been shut down after being overrun by thousands of fans.

The YouTube star held the event in response to the nearby popular online video conference 2018 VidCon this weekend in Anaheim, Calif.

On Friday (June 22), around 20,000 fans – many without tickets – reportedly attempted to crash the party, forcing organizers to try to switch venues at the last minute. On Saturday, the fire marshal was forced to shut the event down entirely due to safely concerns, reports Good Times Live, Tana’s management company.

“Just got word that there are literally 20,000 people outside right now,” Tana tweeted on Friday. “Vid con was expecting 30,000. That’s absolutely insane, and I’m so overwhelmed by that kind of support. I never would’ve thought that this could even happen. 20,000 f–king people wanting to get into my event.”
