Lili Reinhart is Pushing For These Stories To Happen on 'Riverdale' Season 3

The Riverdale starlet is opening up about what she really wants to see with Betty Cooper on the CW show.

Season three filming gets under way this month, and while Lili might tell everyone she knows nothing, she actually does when it comes to Betty.

“I feel like I’ve proven myself to the people I needed to prove myself to,” she says, when it comes to where Betty is going to go. “I’m like, ‘I know this girl. I really do.’”

She regularly texts showrunner Roberto Aguirre-Sacasa with ideas about the character and the script – and she wants more friendship.

“It’s something I’m very much pushing for, that you do see the kids interact more as a group,” Lili shared, citing that she really wants more scenes with Camila Mendes and Casey Cott in particular.

Lili is also hinting at some happy stories for Betty and her boyfriend, Jughead.

“In the season finale, when you saw Betty and Jughead in bed together, she’s smiling when he says, ‘Will you be my serpent queen?’ [Aguirre-Sacasa] told me, ‘When I watched that scene and I saw Betty smile, it made me want more of that.’ I think the girl deserves a break.”
