'Riverdale' Will Have a True Flashback Episode in Season 3

Anyone else remember that flashback/perfect nod to the comic book characters on Riverdale that happened in the first season? It was a dream sequence for Jughead.

Well, we’re about to get a true flashback episode on the series in the upcoming third season.

Showrunner Roberto Aguirre-Sacasa confirmed to fans that the flashback episode would be happening early in the season during 2018 San Diego Comic Con last month.

The flashback would center on the parents – Alice, FP, Fred and Hermione – and that the kids would be playing the parents.

Lili Reinhart, who plays Betty, would be portraying her mom Alice; Cole Sprouse would be FP; KJ Apa would be Fred and Camila Mendes would play Hermione.

We can’t wait to get a sneak peek on this episode!
