Madison Beer Explains Why She Loves Being an Independent Artist

Madison Beer is loving her career as an independent artist!

The 19-year-old singer was all smiles while heading out of Kate Somerville spa on Thursday (August 9) in West Hollywood, Calif.

Madison, who is currently the only female solo artist on the Billboard Top 40 charts without a major music label, recently spilled about doing it all herself.

“I want to be role model for people to be like, ‘I don’t need a major label to be a successful artist and to have a successful song.’ I just want to show everyone that you could really do it yourself. It’s important to drive your own ship and it’s your career so you might as well take it by the reigns,” Madison told ET.

She added, “Being independent, [my fans] control everything. They are the ones who decide what songs get to be the single, they are the ones what video gets to be made and I just listen to them all the time.”
