This morning, the world was hit with the sad new that Aretha Franklin passed away on after a long battle with cancer.
The Queen of Soul was surrounded by her family at her home in Detroit, Michigan, when she passed on.
After the news broke, young celebs took to social media to pay tribute to Aretha and her legacy.
Our thoughts are with Aretha‘s friends, family, and loved ones during this difficult time.
“Aretha was an activist, an icon, legend and a strong black woman during times that didn’t make it easy to be one,” Kat Graham wrote on Instagram. “Your impact will be left for generations to come… Thank you.”
