Shawn Mendes Still Has Acting On His Mind

It looks like Shawn Mendes still has his sights set on acting – and we are here for it.

The 20-year-old “In My Blood” singer revealed over the weekend at the 2018 MTV Video Music Awards that he 100% sees acting in his future.

“I’m hopefully going to get into some acting in the future and do some more stuff like that,” he spilled to Access Hollywood. “I think when it comes to acting, it’s about finding the role that is right for you and not doing something just because you think it’s cool.”

Shawn, who made his acting debut in The 100, previously revealed that he once auditioned for Disney, but it didn’t exactly work out for him.

“I wanted to be an actor, like, so so bad. I took acting classes, I auditioned for Disney, and then I realized how nervous I got with remembering lines,” he told i-D magazine. “Then music kind of fell upon me when I was around 13. I started watching YouTube videos and singing and it became something that I was obsessed with.”
