Thomas Doherty Joins 'Catherine the Great' Miniseries

Thomas Doherty has just announced his new project – he’ll be starring in HBO’s upcoming miniseries, Catherine the Great.

Deadline reports that the 23-year-old Scottish actor will portray Peter Zavadovsky.

“Can’t wait for you all to see it! Incredible cast and crew – and you should see me dressed in 1760’s Russian attire…,” Thomas told his fans on Instagram.

Catherine the Great will center on the notable Russian royal in the latter years of Catherine’s 34-year reign, as she builds Russia’s reputation as one of the great powers of Europe.

The miniseries is currently shooting in palaces and sets across Russia, Latvia and Lithuania.
