OlderDove Cameron to Star in One of Her Favorite Musicals, 'The Light in the Piazza'
Dove Cameron just landed one of her dream roles!
The 22-year-old actress will be playing Clara Johnson in the musical The Light in the Piazza next summer in London.
Dove will be starring alongside legendary opera singer Renee Fleming, who is playing Margaret Johnson. Renee told the Daily Mail that starring in the musical “was an opportunity [she] couldn’t resist.”
On Dove playing her daughter in the show, Renee said, “She’s blonde, she’s vivacious. She’s everything [composer Adam Guettel] was envisaging for the role.”
The production will run for just 20 performances at the Royal Festival Hall from June 14 until July 5.
The Light in the Piazza is one of Dove‘s favorite musicals and she has been tweeting about it for years!
