Noah Centineo Was Hesitant In Taking 'The Stand-In' Role

Noah Centineo‘s next Netflix movie, The Stand-In, doesn’t have a release date just yet, but we’re 100% excited for it.

However, the 22-year-old actor revealed to THR that he was actually hesitant to take the part.

The flick follows a teen raising money for college by acting as a “stand-in” boyfriend.

“Yeah, I was hesitant, because that’s all I have played,” Noah says of his role as the love interest. “Everything that I’m doing right now, everything that I have done or everything I have lined up are stepping stones. I’m not anywhere near where I want to be.”

However, he did enjoy reuniting with Laura Marano, who he starred with in Austin & Ally, aka his first ever job.

Noah told Seventeen that he loves “her to death. She’s so smart and so talented. She really just gives a sh** about life and living conditions and what’s happening in the real world as far as our country and people’s rights. She’s just, across the board, such a lovely individual.”

He adds, “Having a little reunion with her was sick. I mean, I think we had pretty great chemistry. I haven’t seen the cut, so maybe it’s miserable and it’s terrible, but I had a lot of fun on that film, especially with Laura.”
