Lili Reinhart Doesn't Want To Play Any High School Roles Beyond 'Riverdale'

Lili Reinhart is leaving her high school days behind her.

The 23-year-old actress opened up to Vogue Australia about the roles she’s looking at beyond Riverdale, and high school isn’t on that list.

“I definitely think that my heart is in film, that’s where I feel myself most artistically fulfilled,” Lili shared. “I see myself hopefully doing a lot of feature films and playing roles that are not high school characters, I’m definitely right now…looking at other projects to do in the future.”

And in those roles, high school is missing from the descriptions.

“I’m very much staying away from high school-based characters and scripts because I play a high school student for nine months out of the year, I don’t want to play…I don’t want to do another high school story.”

Lili adds that she’s looking for roles that are different than Betty Cooper and Riverdale.

“I think in order for me to feel that I’m pushing myself and growing as a performer, I need to kind of do things that are a little bit more adult and maybe things that are more grounded, because Riverdale is so over the top and very fast paced and everything is very dramatic,” she said. “I feel like I’m more drawn to things that are very dramatic, you know, slow, and kind of have a slow burn and take their time.”
