OlderKJ Apa Talks About Archie Leaving Veronica Behind on 'Riverdale'
We did not approve at all of what happened on Riverdale last night – Archie broke up with Veronica!
Do we call it a break up or not though? Because there wasn’t really a definitive break.
After finding the witnesses who testified against him murdered by Sheriff Minetta, Archie comes to the conclusion that he just can’t home home: “Everything I do just leads to more death,” he said during the episode.
After calling Veronica from the pay phone, Archie hit the road with Jughead.
“Archie being in Riverdale kind of puts a lot of people in danger, but most of all, puts Veronica in danger,” KJ Apa told TVLine about Archie’s decision.
However, he doesn’t want you to think it’s the end of Varchie.
“[It] means that there is still something there,” he adds. “They didn’t part ways because of someone doing something.” Archie hasn’t given up on a future with Veronica yet, he insists: “I think at the moment, it’s just the best thing for them.”
