Sarah Hyland Reportedly Makes Large Donation to MADD After Cousin's Tragic Death

Sarah Hyland has been getting a lot of hate lately on social media following the tragic death of her cousin, Trevor Canaday.

Trevor, just 14, was killed by a drunk driver in a car accident and his dad is still recuperating from the injuries.

Many fans lashed out at Sarah for asking for donations to the family to help them with funeral costs and other things, claiming the Modern Family star could easily pay for the funeral herself. It was also just revealed that Sarah had underwent a second kidney transplant, which isn’t cheap by any means.

This ultimately led Sarah to take a social media break from all the negativity coming her way.

After his passing though, Sarah gave a sizable donation to Mothers Against Drunk Driving (MADD), People is reporting.

“Sarah made a large donation to Mothers Against Drunk Driving in honor of her cousin,” a source told the glossy.

MADD’s mission “is to end drunk driving, help fight drugged driving, support the victims of these violent crimes and prevent underage drinking.”
