'Riverdale' Showrunner Teases Veronica & Reggie Romantic Pairing

New romances are heading our way when Riverdale returns in January on The CW – and one of them may or may not be Veronica and Reggie.

Showrunner Roberto Aguirre-Sacasa opened up about a possible relationship between the two, who just happen to be a real-life couple off screen.

“That’s definitely brewing,” he teased.

However, don’t put all your love into the possible couple just yet – because Archie is still in the picture: “I will say though, in my mind, though Archie and Veronica had that tearful goodbye at the payphone, that was all circumstantial. Neither of them wanted to break up with the other. The question is: When those circumstances change, are they together or broken up? I would say to the Varchie fans, it ain’t over till the fat lady sings!”

He adds, “[And] people who are looking forward to Reggie and Veronica: slow down, kids.”
