Dove Cameron Had a 'Nervous Breakdown' When Meeting Clueless' Alicia Silverstone!

Dove Cameron is reflecting on the epic moment when she met Alicia Silverstone at Clueless, The Musical!

The former Liv and Maddie actress expressed her thoughts in a series of Instagram posts this weekend.

(Dove plays Cher in the production, and Alicia portrayed the character in the iconic 1995 film that the musical is based on.)

“I have no words. to describe this moment. and i never will,” Dove captioned a smiling selfie of the duo, adding with another, “Cher-ing is caring (sorry, expect a few more) #cluelessmusical @aliciasilverstone.”

“I can’t even begin to describe the bizarre deja-vu/inception-like feeling of loving Clueless your whole life, loving cher your whole life, then getting the incredibly singular opportunity to play her, and THEN looking out into the audience on a tuesday night and seeing @aliciasilverstone smiling in the audience back at you as you say the lines that she made so iconic,” Dove wrote with a photo of the two sharing a hug.

“I’ve never been more nervous or more deeply honored,” she continued. “So, naturally i had a full on nervous breakdown when i finally got to meet her afterwards. super embarrassing, but glad it was caught on camera in retrospect. never will i believe the luck and the contents of my life.”

“Thank you @aliciasilverstone for being the angel/animal activist/talent/quality human being that you are, and for coming to see our show,” Dove added. “And thank you to both alicia and @amyheckerling for creating such iconic work, and allowing us to play in your world. 🌹”
