Pottermore Shared How Wizards Once Went To The Bathroom & The Reactions Are Hilarious
We don’t think that anyone was actually wondering about this, but today, in honor of National Trivia Day, Pottermore decided to share just how Hogwarts students went to the bathroom before the school had indoor plumbing.
The official Pottermore account shared that, “Hogwarts didn’t always have bathrooms. Before adopting Muggle plumbing methods in the eighteenth century, witches and wizards simply relieved themselves wherever they stood, and vanished the evidence.”
So, if you’ve read that theory about wizards just uttering a magic spell in classes to clean up, this proves it.
On top of the tweet, fans had the best reactions to it – most saying that they want to unsee it.

This doesn't even make sense. Ancient Rome had working indoor plumbing for a thousand years before Hogwarts was founded. Even contemporary local muggles would have been using chamber pots or outhouses- at least a wizard could vanish a chamber pot's contents without touching it.
