'Zoey 101' Didn't End Because of Jamie Lynn Spears' Pregnancy; It Was Because of This Instead

We all had our theories about why Zoey 101 ended on Nickelodeon – most of them were about Jamie Lynn Spears‘s pregnancy.

However, she insists it wasn’t because of that after all.

If you remember, Jamie Lynn got pregnant with her now 10-year-old daughter Maddie during the show’s run. The final episode of the show aired in May of 2008 and Maddie was born in June of that same year.

In a new Instagram, Jamie put that rumor to bed by re-posting a throwback video to the show.

“Are you ready? 14 years later…still a jam…,” she wrote in the caption, adding, “It did NOT end because of pregnancy” and “contract was finished.”

The series, which also starred Victoria Justice, Matthew Underwood, Erin Sanders and more, centered on Zoey Brooks (Spears) as she enrolls in Pacific Coast Academy, a school that previously only allowed boys to attend.
