Brothers Adam and Aaron Nee will direct the reboot.

Masters of the Universe is based on Mattel’s toy line, which led to an animated TV series (1983-85) and a 1987 film. It focuses on the warrior He-Man, “the last hope of a magical land called Eternia.”

Dolph Lundgren played the title character in the original film, and Frank Langella took on the role of the villain Skeletor.

After recently working together on the new Charlie’s Angels movie, Sony was happy to land another role for Noah.
