“My agent called me first thing, said ‘Sorry to wake you, but you’re up for a Bafta’ and I screamed! It’s overwhelming,” Chance shared with BBC about the nomination.

The docudrama is based on a true story, and he plays Jerome Rogers, who found himself in crushing debt and took his own life.

“The whole time we were just worried about whether or not we could do Jerome and his family’s story justice,” he added. “We got their seal of approval and now this project is being shown in schools as an educative tool. The way it’s been received has been incredible.”
