Zac Efron Would Love To Cameo on 'High School Musical' Series

Zac Efron might make all of our dreams come true – by popping up on the upcoming High School Musical series.

Speaking with Extra while promoting his new movie, the 31-year-old actor was open to pop up in the background as a cameo in the Disney+ show.

“Absolutely…I don’t see why not,” Zac shared about if he would. “I’m not, like, committing to it — I didn’t know there was [a series].”

Joshua Bassett, Olivia Rodrigo, Kate Reinders, Sofia Wylie, Matt Cornett, Dara Renee, Julia Lester, Frankie A. Rodriguez, Larry Saperstein, and Mark St. Cyr all star in the future show, which is filming now in Utah. Meet their characters here!

It follows a group of students as they count down to opening night of their school’s first-ever production of “High School Musical”. Show-mances blossom; friendships are tested while new ones are made; rivalries flare; and lives are changed forever as these young people discover the transformative power that only a high school drama club can provide.

The series will also bring brand new songs and acoustic “rehearsal-room” reinterpretations of songs from the original High School Musical provide the soundtrack for an unlikely group of theater kids who learn “we’re all in this together” when it comes to pulling off an against-all-odds opening night.

High School Musical: The Series will premiere later this year on Disney+.
