Shawn Mendes Thinks Justin Bieber Would Beat Him in a Fight

Shawn Mendes doesn’t think he could take Justin Bieber in a fight.

The 20-year-old singer predicted who would win in a hypothetical fight between himself and Justin when he stopped by the Elvis Duran Show on Friday (May 3) in New York City.

“I think I’m bigger and I weigh more,” Shawn said. “I think [Justin] has another type of level that he can click into that I don’t have. I don’t possess the switch that he does.”

The question of who would win in a Shawn/Justin showdown stems from the guys’ joking tiff on social media in April when Shawn was dubbed the “Prince of Pop” by The Observer Magazine.

Justin took to Shawn’s Instagram comments to challenge his real-life pal to a hockey match for the title, which has also been applied to him over the years.

Like the rest of us, Shawn is a huge fan of Justin’s Instagram hilarity.

“He is so funny,” Shawn said of Justin’s sense of humor. “Honestly, I pretty much live to read the comments that he posts on photos because they’re hilarious.”
