Naomi Scott Looked To Jordan's Queen Rania To Shape 'Aladdin's Princess Jasmine

Naomi Scott got big hugs from some of her biggest fans on the blue carpet at the premiere of Aladdin earlier this week in London, England.

The 26-year-old actress signed some autographs for the young girls before taking a ton of pics with the girls.

In her new interview with The Telegraph, Naomi revealed that the Princess Jasmine she plays took notes from Jordan’s Queen Rania.

The 2019 Princess Jasmine has “depth and groundedness to humanise her – and empower her,” she says. “She drops the grace. She does not hold back and she steps up to lead her country when she needs to.”

Naomi adds that the queen consort was an inspiration behind the 2019 version of the character.

“She sounds super-duper-cool,” she says of the royal. “I’m actually meeting her when we go to do a red-carpet event in Jordan.”
