Calvin Klein Issues Apology For Bella Hadid & Lil Miquela Kiss in 'I Speak My Truth' Campaign Video

Fashion house Calvin Klein has issued an apology to fans who called out one of the videos in their new campaign, titled “I Speak My Truth”.

The video in question focused on Lil Miquela, the computer-generated influencer (aka robot), who shared a kiss with model Bella Hadid.

Fans called out the brand, labeling the video as queerbaiting.

“We understand and acknowledge how featuring someone who identifies as heterosexual in a same-sex kiss could be perceived as queerbaiting,” the brand’s statement read on social media. “As a company with a longstanding tradition of advocating for LGBTQ+ rights, it was certainly not our intention to misrepresent the LGBTQ+ community.”

If you’re interested in seeing the video, you can check it out on Miquela‘s Instagram.

Bella‘s Instagram feed features her own campaign videos with a horse.
