Zendaya Is Leaving Music on the Back Burner For Now

Zendaya is truly the lady in red in this shot from her new cover story for Paper magazine.

In the issue, the 22-year-old actress opened up about her new role as Rue in Euphoria, and leaving music behind her for now.

“I think the [music] industry takes a little bit of passion away from you,” Zendaya shared. “It sucks you dry a little bit.”

She continued that what she “thought I wanted, it’s not what I want anymore, [especially] when I think about what I had to deal with in the music industry.”

Previously, Zendaya has teamed up with Timbaland on her sophomore album, released the dreamy “Neverland” and was a part of The Greatest Showman soundtrack.
