Sabrina Carpenter Explains Why She Sometimes Posts & Ghosts on Social Media

Sabrina Carpenter knows when to walk away.

The 20-year-old singer and actress recently opened up about her acting career, new music, and more in an interview with Marie Claire.

When the subject of internet shaming and call out culture came up, Sabrina copped to sometimes posting and ghosting when she speaks her mind online.

“Sometimes I will literally post something and then just leave. Ghost. Throw my phone in the ocean. Completely MIA,” she told the magazine. “It’s the easiest way for me to not see what they’re saying — good, bad, negative.”

Sabrina doesn’t avoid every social media comment, though. She shared that her fans are always adorably looking out for her, which she loves.

“They’re always telling me I need to hydrate and rest,” she said of the messages she receives from fans. “It’s very cute that they care.”
