The 12-year-old singer from New York opened up about his love for the theatre during his audition and he sang Sara Bareilles‘ “She Used to Be Mine” from the musical Waitress.

Julianne Hough, who he credited as his favorite judge, hit her golden buzzer after the audition.

“You have such talent and grace. You have something so special. You have an essence inside you that has given you a gift. And I believe that not only are you going to become a star, and get your dream to come true, but I don’t think you have to wait much longer,” Julianne said before hitting the buzzer.
