Austin Butler Says He's 'Honored' To Be Playing Elvis In New Movie

Austin Butler feels really lucky right now.

Speaking with ET last night (July 22) at the Once Upon a Time in Hollywood premiere, the 27-year-old actor opened up about getting the chance to play Elvis Presley in Baz Luhrmann‘s upcoming biopic about the King of Rock n’ Roll.

“I am just profoundly honored that Baz has invited me on this journey with him,” he shared.

Austin added, “It’s an extraordinary privilege. And I just feel so blessed to be working with such singular directors like him and Quentin Tarantino.”

He also opened up about getting some acting advice from his Once Upon a Time in Hollywood co-star, Brad Pitt.

“One thing Brad said was ‘to play the long game.’ I love that, just the idea of really choosing quality over quantity.”
