Auli'i Cravalho Books Lead Role in 'Sorta Like A Rock Star' Film

Auli’i Cravalho is ready to make her big screen debut in a live action film!

Deadline reports that the 18-year-old actress, who is known as the voice of Moana, will lead Sorta Like A Rock Star.

The flick centers on a teenage girl who, despite difficult circumstances, is preternaturally optimistic about the world and her place in it.

She often helps those around her, resulting in powerful bonds with a disparate group of outsiders in her community, until she faces a devastating loss and can no longer ignore the challenges in her own life.

Sorta Like a Rock Star is expected to start production in October and is slated to premiere on Netflix.
