Vanessa Hudgens & Ashley Tisdale Met A Year Before Filming 'High School Musical'

Did anyone else not know this? Longtime BFFs Vanessa Hudgens and Ashley Tisdale didn’t actually meet while filming High School Musical, but a year before!

Ashley shared that little tidbit during an interview wit US Weekly earlier in the week about her friendship with Vanessa.

“We actually worked together a year before in a Sears commercial, and from that day on we were super close,” Ashley shared. “So people don’t really — I think some people know that, but they think it was that movie that brought us together and it really wasn’t.”

Ashley continued, opening up about their strong friendship that’s latest for over 10 years: “We just have a connection and she’s so awesome and one of my best friends.”

“What I love about her is that she’s so talented, and I think what we share is that we’re really grounded people and I think that that’s important, especially with what we do, is to stay grounded.”
