Sabrina Carpenter Gets Real About Life After Disney

Sabrina Carpenter is opening up about what it’s like to be in her 20s and life after being a Disney Channel star.

In a new interview, the 20-year-old singer and actress dished on moving on to the “big kid world”.

“I left the comfort zone of this little blanket that I was wrapped up in when I was on Disney to the big kid world, where people are a lot harsher,” she told Refinery 29.

“I think it’s very easy for people to look at kids that come from Disney and see them as a face and not really a voice,” Sabrina added about her role in The Hate U Give. “I wanted my fans to be able to learn something from something that I did.”

“When you’re younger, you think it’s a lot worse than it is,” she said about getting older. “Then everybody’s like, ‘wait till you get to your 20s.’ Then you get to your 20s, and you’re like, ‘ohhhh.’”
