Hailee Steinfeld Says New Show 'Dickinson' Is Funny & Weird

Hailee Steinfeld is dishing about her new Apple TV+ show Dickinson!

The 22-year-old actress and singer stars in the upcoming series as poet Emily Dickinson, and opened up a little while at the 2019 MTV VMAs.

“This is a story from the perspective of one of the greatest female American poets ever,” she told ET‘s Keltie Knight. “And It’s wild and it’s funny and it’s weird and it’s a little bit of everything, so I’m very excited about it.”

“My fans have been like, ‘Where have you been?’ And, ‘What have you been doing?’ And, ‘Are you alive?’” she added. “So it’s so good to finally have a little sneak peek of the show finally out. It’s something that really means a lot to me on so many different levels.”
